Laurie Sappern Gaugler Consultant
You don’t know it yet, but if you allow her, Laurie will positively impact the future of your life and that of your loved ones. Planning for a potential need for an extended period of care is a responsibility not to be left to others as a crisis. A long-term care insurance policy is not appropriate for everyone; education is critical before you decide on a plan. Whether it is a policy or another solution, everyone should have a plan.
Laurie’s parents both received care funded by their long-term care policies. These were her family’s second and third experiences in caring for a loved one. Her grandmother needed care and didn’t have long-term care coverage. What a difference her parents’ long-term care policies made in the lives of the family!
There are many ways to protect yourself and your family from the difficult financial and emotional impact a need for care could bring. Laurie has worked in the long-term care field since 2005. She combines her knowledge of the solutions in the marketplace with her client’s needs in order to create a plan. Her goal is to provide her clients the peace of mind that comes from finding a solution that has the best chance of being meaningful in the future, balanced with a cost that is affordable now, and in the years to come.
The foundation of Laurie’s career is to do what is right for the client. Business relationships are built on trust and excellence in customer service. Over the years Laurie has proven her dedication and capabilities on both fronts. Prior to her involvement in the long-term care industry, Laurie spent 15 years at IBM, working with large corporations to successfully establish and build client relationships. She left IBM to raise her young children full-time, when her family faced their first long-term care challenge. When Laurie returned to the work force and chose to become a long-term care expert, she was able to bring to her clients a combined perspective gained from those family challenges and her passion for client satisfaction. Laurie credits her father with leading her to a career that she finds so rewarding.
